Safety and Emergency Procedures

How do I sign up for the UALERT system?

UA Alert is a free service  that delivers emergency alerts to registered UA students, faculty and staff – as well as their friends and family – via their cell phones, mobile devices and/or email accounts during a campus emergency.  UAlert is the most efficient and timely way to receive notifications about critical incidents affecting any of the University of Arizona campuses.  For University of Arizona alerts you can sign up HERE.

How do I get access to the building after-hours?

The University of Arizona Cancer Center has UA CatCard readers at three main entrances on the south side of the building upper level, three on the north side lower level (main sliding glass doors, stairwell to the east of the sliding glass doors, and elevator door to the east of the mailroom) and one on the west side near the courtyard, for keyless access to Building 222.  The upper level doors are unlocked during regular business hours Monday-Friday 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM excluding holidays and university closure days.  The lower level doors are always locked and require valid CatCard access for ingress.

For access outside of these hours your CatCard will have to be programmed following the procedures on this Procedure for Keyless Entry Access. Please allow 24 - 48 hours for card to be activated. You'll need the number on the back of your CatCard and the 4 digit pin you would like to use. FOR SECURITY REASONS, PLEASE DO NOT SEND THE PIN IN AN EMAIL.

How do I request additional space?

All requests for additional space must be made by a department head or center director in memo form describing specific needs and submitted to the UACC Space Committee Coordinator. Requests for additional space will result in the on-site audit of existing departmental/center space.  Space requests will be met based upon space availability, timing and how the request fits within the context of the UACC current space inventory and strategic goals.
