Dr. Emad Elquza is the Medical Director of Clinical Oncology Services at Banner University Medical Center in Tucson and the Associate Director of Clinical Services at The University of Arizona Cancer Center. In these roles, he serves at the Chief Physician Official of the Cancer-related services. He leads the program's strategic vision and aligns the goals and quality of the program.
He completed his training in Internal Medicine and Hematology/Oncology at the University of Arizona. After serving as the Chief Fellow he joined the Division of Hematology/Oncology in 2010. Dr. Elquza received his medical degree from the Flinders University School of Medicine in Adelaide, Australia, and an undergraduate degree in Biochemistry at the University of Southern California.
He specializes in cancers of the gastrointestinal tract, which include colon cancer, rectal cancer, esophageal cancer, stomach cancer, liver cancer, and cancer of the pancreas.
He is actively involved in research and his interests include the development of novel treatment options for patients with pancreatic cancer. In addition, he is the Director of Clinical Research at the University of Arizona Cancer Center — Orange Grove Campus.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Medical Oncology.
