The University of Arizona Cancer Center has several clinical and research locations across the state. You can see more information about each location by clicking on the drop downs below. 

The 82,000-square-foot University of Arizona Cancer Center — North Campus has state-of-the-art equipment and highly specialized professionals to diagnose and treat patients.

Multidisciplinary patient-care teams include internationally-renowned medical, hematological, radiation and surgical oncologists as well as nurse practitioners, nurse coordinators, research specialists, psychiatrists, social workers, patient advocates, nutritionists, pharmacists and genetic counselors.

The clinic, which has an award-winning design with a spa-like setting, includes:

  • A spacious bright, airy waiting room with books and a grand piano
  • Separate waiting areas have two enclosed rooms with a TV and a play area for children.
  • Java City Café, a full-service coffee shop with healthy food offerings

Radiation/Oncology

Cancer Center patients receive the most up-to-date cancer treatment from caring staff in the UArizona Medical Center's Radiation Oncology Department. Closely associated with the Cancer Center, Radiation Oncology offers the most current and effective cancer therapies available.

The information below may be helpful when you want to reach a staff member. Please remember your provider may be busy in clinic or out of the building when you call. You will be asked a few questions regarding the nature of your call, then an electronic message will be routed to the appropriate staff member and you will receive a call back.

Scheduling: You may change an appointment or schedule your next visit by calling 520-694-7236 (North Campus) or 520-694-8900 (Orange Grove Campus).

Call-in Hours: Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m.

Symptoms: If you are at home and are concerned about some symptoms, please call sooner rather than later. Don’t wait.

Test Results: Some test results may take longer than 24 hours. A staff member will call you once the results are reviewed by a provider.

Conveniently located in Northwest Tucson on West Orange Grove Road east of North La Cholla Boulevard, this 28,700-square-foot community outpatient clinic offers physicians specializing in medical oncology, surgical oncology and radiation oncology.

At the Orange Grove Campus, patients receive treatment in open, light-filled spaces where they can visit with other patients, family members and friends, watch TV or move into a private courtyard. The nurse-to-patient ratio never exceeds 1-to-4 and the facility has an on-site laboratory and pharmacy services.

With the June 2011 completion of a 12,000-square-foot expansion, patients can also now receive cutting-edge radiation oncology treatment with state-of-the-art precision technology closer to home. The Orange Grove location has a PET-CT Simulator, a state-of-the-art imaging machine that does both PET and CT scan at the same time for the best accuracy possible, and the Trilogy Stereotactic System, an innovative linear accelerator – the device that delivers radiation – with CT image guidance capability that verifies within a millimeter that the treatment will be delivered on target and extremely quickly - in about 3 minutes.

Patients at the Cancer Center — Orange Grove Campus also have access to leading-edge clinical trials, a complete multidisciplinary team and supportive resources, including psycho-social oncology, social workers, financial liaison counselor, high-risk clinic and American Cancer Society patient navigators.

The Orange Grove Campus is a partnership between UArizona Medical Center and the Cancer Center, a National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.

The University of Arizona Cancer Center Prevention Clinic is located half way between the Cancer Center Main Campus and the North Campus. 

The Cancer Center is an internationally recognized leader in clinical and translational cancer prevention research. The Cancer Center Prevention clinic is dedicated to accrual and execution of therapeutic cancer prevention clinical trials. 

The clinic has comfortable waiting areas for study participants; multiple participant exam and interview rooms; offices for clinical research support staff, and a temperature-monitored, secured drug storage room. The clinic includes two clinical labs equipped with all essential laboratory services for processing biospecimens collected from study participants and sterilizing equipment. The clinic also includes multiple refrigerators/freezers and two -80°C freezers for short-term specimen storage prior to transporting or shipping them to the designated research laboratories for biomarker analyses or long-term storage. 

The clinic is equipped with reflectance confocal microscope, solar simulator, and skin reflectance chromameter for specialized skin cancer prevention trials.

Located at the UArizona Health Sciences campus, the Research and Administration at Main Campus also houses the Cancer Center's research laboratories and administration offices.

Hundreds of doctors, scientists, postdoctoral fellows, graduate students, undergraduate students and technicians work in more than 70 research laboratories in the Cancer Center. Armed with test tubes, cancer cells, computers, and tumor models, they search for the missing pieces of the cancer puzzle in their efforts to prevent and cure cancer.

The Cancer Center is a leader in research on women’s cancers (breast, ovarian), men’s cancers (prostate), gastrointestinal cancers (colon, pancreas, liver), lymphoma and skin cancers.

The Cancer Center is home to one of the largest Cancer Prevention and Control Programs among the nation’s comprehensive cancer centers, with leading prevention research in breast, colon, lung, prostate and skin cancers.
